One day, in 2003, these two best friends of 30 years found themselves with an opportunity to change their lives. You know how sometimes in life all the stars align and everything comes together to make something happen? Well, thatâs the way it was with Angelâs. Every obstacle that was sure to be a âdeal breakerâ just dissipated. And before they knew it, Angelâs had taken on a life of its own.
Now â here we are, and we would like to say thank you to our families, to our partners, to those we have loved and lost and to you â our customers. We feel that Angelâs is truly a special place and everyone that walks through its doors makes it so. Because of that, we are honored to have you as part of our Angel Journey.
We’ve been asked about our sign.  And yes, that is the original 1950âs red porcelain neon sign from Pasadena, Texas owned previously by the Angel Family.
That sign, the food, and the feelings here bring back many childhood memories from our customers. Our favorite is from a trucker who pulled over to tell us his story. He said he was eating at the original Angel’s when he was a boy and that he was beginning to choke when a little girl gave him the Heimlich. He felt all this time that she had saved his life. When he drove by here in his truck many years later, he recounted the story that had changed his life so much to his wife. In disbelief, she put her hand on his arm and said, âBaby, that little girl was me!â Their story gave us chills, and there are so many wonderful stories here that one thingâs for sure â if you ask us if WE believe in Angels? The answer is â ABSOLUTELY.
